Meditation has been complicated by the many teachings on the various kinds of meditation that have emerged in our modern era, yet meditation is really simple. In the Bible, the word “meditate” means to mutter something over and over to oneself. The definition according to Merriam Webster’s Dictionary is “to engage in contemplation or reflection”. Many teachers have added breathing techniques, seating and physical positions, making sounds like mantras, etc., but the basically meditation is thinking, affirming, or repeating something over and over for a period of time. Affirmation–confirming something with your words–is essentially a form of meditation. Meditation and affirmation will help you to grow in spiritual awareness, resulting in prosperity and health.
